Storybook Farms
An equine based
therapeutic program serving children who are challenged with
life-threatening illness, disabilities, and grief. The
gentle nature of our horses
provides hope and healing.
This specially designed 25
acre facility is located in Opelika, Alabama. Since opening
in
2002, hundreds of children from East Central Alabama and
West Central
Georgia have experienced "Hope on Horseback."
Year round programs are
tailored to children, ages 2 to 25 years, with
life-threatening
illnesses, disabilities, and bereavement situations. Because
of generous community support,
our therapeutic programs are offered at no charge.

AQHA's Ride Program is an international series of trail
rides
that welcomes horses of all breeds and riders of
all
disciplines to celebrate the joys of horseback riding.
The
Ride Program benefits local charities as
well as the
American Quarter Horse Foundation,
a charitable organization
that provides scholarships,
preserves the heritage of the
American Quarter Horse and
raises important dollars for
equine research
and youth scholarships.

Join the
Alabama Quarter Horse Association (ALQHA)
and qualify for a year end award by logging the most
hours riding on a Registered American Quarter
Horse. Any organized ride qualifies with proof of
registration and participation in all ALQHA Trail
Rides.
